adobe photoshop elements 5.0 will not open invalid address

I went out two weeks ago and bought an Apple laptop and it's like a whole new world. I'm extremely disappointed in Adobe as a company, sorry that I continued to support a company that doesn't support its paying customers, and generally fed up with the whole thing. I'll probalby learn Elements 7 eventually since I paid for it, but I find it very different from the 5.02 that I liked so much. Lo and Behold Elements 5.02 mostly works again - MOSTLY. Sure enough, Chrome was on my computer and I uninstalled it. After I already bought it, installed it, and didn't like it much, I saw the post about Google Chrome. It just seemed the best choice for what I wanted and I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Not because I'm happy with Adobe - far from it. I couldn't get it to work and keep it working so I gave in and bought Photoshop Elements 7. What would it cost them to tell us how to fix this? I find it discouraging and yet amazing that this problem is still going on and still no help from Adobe.
